COVID-19 Update

At Spec, our goal is to keep the market moving by enabling people to share and view properties virtually, in the comfort of their home.

Our top priority is the health of our Digital Surveyors, the community, and you, our customers.

To ensure the market can keep moving, we have updated our capture criteria and will now be accepting orders for tenanted properties. We ask that you adhere to our capture criteria and policy and inform your staff, landlords, and tenants of these updates.

Capturable properties: We're pleased to share we can now capture properties with no limit on the number of bedrooms or sizes.

Occupant guidance: Properties with self-isolating occupants cannot be captured.

COVID-19 Capture Policy

Social distancing

The health and safety of our digital surveyors, our customers, and the community are of paramount importance to us. 

Therefore any Digital Surveyor will adhere to government guidance around social distancing which can be found on the Government’s website

This includes:

  • Staying at least 2 metres away from any other person at all times
  • Never coming into physical contact with another human being of a different household
  • Washing hands frequently for 20 seconds
  • Using disinfectant when handling keys and door handles and surfaces

Occupant guidance

The health and safety of our Digital Surveyors, our customers, and the community are of paramount importance to us.

We ask that all agents adhere to to the following guidance on tenanted properties.

  • Properties with self-isolating occupants cannot be captured
  • Occupants can be present during the capture, but must observe social distancing measures (currently 2 meters)
  • Occupants are asked to wipe down light switches and door handles with disinfectant
  • We reserve the right to cancel a capture should occupants be present, or should the property fall outside of our capture criteria

Direct Debit

We are asking all agents to sign up for Direct Debit as it ensures payment for work that has been completed and delivered. This allows us to continue to innovate, and push our service delivery further.

COVID-19 specific terms & conditions

All captures during this period will be covered by our updated “Capture As-Is” policy. In addition the following will apply:

  • Standard “close of next business day” SLA for delivery of marketing assets will be extended to 48 hours
  • Standard cancellation policy in effect
  • We reserve the right to cancel a capture at any time should Government guidance change. In this event, no cancellation charge will be applied
  • We reserve the right to cancel a capture at any time should the property not comply with the “Capture As-Is” policy
  • You agree to adhere to Government’s guidance on Social distancing
  • You agree to adhere to our COVID-19 Key exchange policy
